Erika was introduced to the concept of Yoga by her doctor at the age of 15 (being a restless
teenager) She did not take a class until she was 18 years old. Her first yoga teacher
was 82 years old, Erika could not believe her eyes,  was fascinated by her agility and flexibility, her
energy level, and her mindfulness. At that moment Erika realized the positive impact regular yoga
practice has on our well-being. However, life happens and as the years passed by, she acquired a
very busy lifestyle. She still had yoga on her mind and in her heart. In 2016 she incorporated a daily
meditation practice that slowly started to transform her life. In 2018 RYT 200-hour Certified
Teacher Training at Om Beats Yoga Studio in Miami. In 2023 Certified Restorative Teacher
Yoga has been off and on in Erika’s life for many years. Coming back to her practice has brought
her a sense of calmness, well-being, self-discovery, and a deeper connection with others. And the knowledge that Yoga is always with us and ready when we are, for exactly what we need.

At home surrounded by my pets, I experience a sense of harmony, love, and peace.
2. How did you discover yoga?
When I was 15 years old the Doctor recommended yoga for my circulatory system.
3. What have you given up that still tempts you?
Refined sugar.

Chocolate – Cacao the love of my life!

Authenticity and Resilience
