Roberta has been a Personal Trainer, and group fitness instructor since 2006. Since discovering Yoga in 2011, her studies have expanded to include holistic health and psychology . She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in Colorado where she studied Sivananda Hatha and Vinyasa Flow, then later went to Rishikesh, India to complete a 300-hour teacher training in the full primary series of Ashtanga Vinyasa. Roberta was a favorite teacher at our original Victoria Park location. She is the founder of the beloved Mandala Yoga Center, which she closed in 2019 in order to focus solely on teaching.
Roberta’s Yoga teaching style starts with attention to the breath, and mindfully scanning the body for your optimal alignment and increased awareness. Postures are explained in detail and the practice is structured so the spine and joints are being worked on from head to toe. Roberta shares a deep understanding of the practice and philosophy, and gives space for students to dive into meditation with the breath.
Roberta offers the practice of yoga with authenticity and realness. There is structure, discipline and challenge in her classes, and TONS of heart! We are thrilled to have her back with us!
