MANU SUAREZ
Manu practices and guides graceful movement, alignment, overcoming resistance, and strength through yoga. A former gymnast, she was shaped by her persistence towards self-improvement and freedom of the mind through trust in the body. During her University years abroad studying Fashion Design, her yoga practice became an intuitive experience that cultivated health and well-being through a stressful time. After graduating, she dipped her toes in a short online Breathwork and Meditation retreat of sudarshan kriya with SKY @Emory, then a 30hr Holistic Power Yoga Teacher Training with InnerDimension. Finally, she decided to pursue an in-person 200-hour YTT in Alignment-Based Vinyasa, Slow Flow, as well as a certification in Yoga Thai Massage Therapy with LagoCph. She trained in Sound Healing with Three Trees, Soulmonic Sound Healing.
Take 5:
1. Favorite place to meditate?
On my balcony facing trees.
2. How did you discover yoga?
Initially at my local ymca. Truly in my tiny studio in Paris while burning out mid tailoring and design BA projects.
3. What have you given up that still tempts you?
Dairy. Self doubt, perfectionism.
4. Favorite food?
Bowls, vegetables, avocados and breakfast any time of day.
5. Who or what inspires you?
Warm, musky and refreshing experiences for the senses. Walking in nature. A candle, a flute, a dance, a shower, fabric and paint.
