Juan Carlos Galán started practicing Ashtanga Yoga in 2008. After years of grad school hunched over a computer, the practice was a powerful and healing revelation.

Juan Carlos is a graduate from The University of Texas at Austin and has a Master’s degree in Industrial Psychology.  He has traveled to Mysore, India for extended periods of time to continue his journey as a student of yoga under the guidance of his teacher Sharath Jois. He has been blessed with the authorization to teach from Sharath.  Juan Carlos studied yoga closely with Ashtanga Yoga Worldwide owner and senior teacher Greg Nardi and authorized level two senior teacher Fiona Stang of Ashtanga Yoga Vancouver.

Juan Carlos sustains a daily Ashtanga Yoga practice.  He believes in the energetic and healing aspects of this practice. His intention is to share this yoga with anyone inspired to seek it.
