Jessica grew up in a log cabin in the woods of rural Ohio. Her family grew their own food, and lived in harmony with the cycles of nature’s seasons. She spent her childhood exploring the forests, streams and fields around the Lohrey homestead creating bonds with the natural world that would last a lifetime. She later earned a B.S. degree in Zoology from Miami University. Jessica has been studying and using herbs, aromatherapy and other holistic healing modalities for more than 30 years.
In the late 90’s, Jessica began practicing yoga as a way to stay in shape and reduce stress. After a life-changing motorcycle accident, her physical and spiritual healing led her deeper into the practice. Over the last 19 years she has studied teachings from the Krishnamacharya, Sivananda, and Kripalu lineages of yoga.A Certified Yoga Therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapists, Jessica is certified at the highest level as an E-RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance.
In 2007, Jessica created Tree of India, a holistic lifestyle and aromatherapy company. Spirituality and nature appreciation have been woven into Tree of India’s culture and continue to be her source of inspiration. What drives her passion is a never-ending desire to learn, grow and share her experience in service to others. Jessica specializes in using yoga as a therapeutic tool for maintaining physical and emotional balance in our busy modern society.
