What is a mindful meet-up?

Mindful meet-ups are intended to create a community of healthy communication through the practice of yoga.
Using the 8 limb path as a guide, we take the first 30 minutes to create a safe passage to active listening, communication and peaceful progress. We use the next 30 minutes to share with each other whatever is on our minds and hearts; From there we tap into the power of community to pave the way for peaceful progress.
Peaceful progress is actively using what we learn to create change in the negative thoughts and habits that hold us down or cause us to react outwardly.
This class seeks to set a space to diffuse the negative so the positive can shine through. We accomplish this by breathing, educating ourselves, strengthening our positive energy and our communities through communication– even when we don’t agree.
