Tonee’s first Yoga experience was in her living room with the wii-fit. After staying with it, she began experiencing both the emotional and the physical benefits of losing over 40 lbs. Tonee enrolled in a teacher training program to deepen her practice. After receiving her 200hr certification from Aananda, she felt a pull to share with others what she had gained. During her study of yoga Tonee became very interested in the physical well-being of the body and embraced yoga as a lifestyle. She is now a vegetarian and is mindful of her choices in all aspects of her life. Her other interests include Reiki, meditation, breath work, mindfulness practices and aromatherapy.
Tonee’s dedicated daily meditation practice helps to fortify her inner peace through stillness and silence. She continues to expand her practice and teaching by attending workshops and events as often as she can. Tonee received her 500hr advanced yoga certification with Cyndi Lee at Om yoga in 2016. She is currently studying to receive her master Reiki certification.
Tonee says: “Yoga has helped me to find my voice, to cultivate a heart of service and to find inner peace through the mind, body and spirit connection on and off the mat. The most important work I can do in this life is the work I do to improve myself by being the change I wish to see in this world.”
