Learn, experience, & exchange the beautiful and ancient healing art of "nurad borarn” Vedic Thai-Yoga Bodywork. This practice is also known as "lazyman's yoga" or "the royal treatment".
Assisted stretching (asana) is combined with rhythmic compressions along energy lines (meridians/nadis) while targeting marmas (energy points) with the intention of releasing holding patterns and stagnant energy built up with in the system. Also utilizing breath coaching, meditation, and energy work, the intention of a vedic thai-yoga session is to promote physical & spiritual wellness and illumination, for both the receiver and the giver. This is a practice considered to be part of Bhakti Yoga (loving devotion and service).

The Art of Sequencing
Your Yoga practice is the ultimate journey. The essence of the practice is that it is always shifting and changing just as our lives do. Our response to those shifts is where the real work in Yoga comes into play. In this workshop you will learn to teach and/or create your own home practice in a beautiful flowing sequence that literally feels like a journey. Students and teachers alike will learn the art of creating a sequence that not only feels amazing to practice but also makes sense for the mechanics of the body. Bring your journal or a notebook to take notes. This workshop is open to all levels and is highly recommended for teachers seeking creative and functional ways to teach their classes.

Yin Yoga Nidra
All aspects of life are connected with both Yin and Yang energy. Erika will lead you on a journey inward through a beautifu Yin Yoga practice and Yoga Nidra meditation. Yin Yoga is a practice that is unlike any other. The practice is simple in that the postures are rather basic in form. The magic happens when we hold the poses for several minutes. By releasing tension in the muscles we can then get deeper into the connective tissues (fascia) which promotes the flow of Qi (energy). Our last pose will segue into a deep and powerful Yoga Nidra meditation. Also known as Yogic sleep, Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that will put you into a deep yet aware state of relaxation. Erika has personally worked through some of the emotional roadblocks in her life through Yoga Nidra and knows that it can work for everyone the same way. Anyone interested in relaxing and feeling the power of intention at work is welcome!
Earlybird Package Pricing: Registration for all 3 sessions on or before January 5th is $100.00

Krista Shirley Ashtanga Weekend March 20-22, 2015
Details and pay link coming soon...
Krista Shirley is a dedicated student and practitioner of traditional Ashtanga yoga. She is an Authorized Level 2 teacher in the Ashtanga tradition of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. She was introduced to this practice over ten years ago and immediately embraced it as a daily part of her life because she was magnetically drawn to the healing this practice provides. For the last eleven years Krista has rolled her mat out each day because it is such an intrinsic part of who she is. Ashtanga Yoga has given Krista health and wellness, comfort, stability, peace, mindfulness and an outlet to work on herself and help others.
Krista began making yearly, long term, visits to Mysore, India in 2006 to study with the late Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Guruji, in order to fully connect to this lineage and embrace and surrender to a teacher that could help facilitate her growth and provide a deep source of inspiration. Since Guruji’s passing in 2009 Krista continues to make the yearly pilgrimage to India to study with Guruji’s grandson R. Sharath Jois who has dedicated his life continuing the work of Guruji, ensuring this deeply rich lineage, this parampara, lives on in the name of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.
Krista’s dedication to her personal yoga practice and the Ashtanga lineage shine through in her teaching. Her energy is contagious and inspiring because she lives this yoga daily and experiences tremendous fulfillment in helping people find and deepen their growth in this practice. Krista continues her trips to Mysore each year because she believes it is very important all students have a teacher, a guide, to aid and inspire along the path. In 2010 she traveled to Mysore six months pregnant, and in 2012 and 2013 she took her year old little boy to Mysore with her. She has made eight trips to Mysore, India to continue her own studies and spent over twenty three months of her life studying at the Krishna Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Mysore, India.
Krista is a level 2 authorized Ashtanga teacher and founder of The Yoga Shala in Winter Park, Florida where she teaches traditional Ashtanga yoga classes in the Mysore method. Originally from South Carolina, Krista resides in Florida with her son, Kaiden.

It does cool down at night, as we are in the mountains. We have experienced a week with no rain in these times, and a week with daily short showers during the same time period. Either way, it will be just what you need. Its all Yoga, remember? Bring a poncho or rain jacket for the waterfall tour or a rainy day. The property offers umbrellas for guests' usage.
Enjoy three plentiful, colorful buffet-style meals daily, made with fresh, local(and really goooood!) ingredients, the selection changes daily. The bar serves a nice selection of wines by the glass or bottle, beer, wheatgrass shots, coconut water(freshly machete'd) all at a small extra cost that can be conveniently added to your room charges. Did we mention Coffee?

All accommodations have comfortable beds and include daily housekeeping and towel changes if desired. The boutique at Pura Vida was completely and beautifully renovated by Red Pearl's Karen Gavrilov and Deborah O' Brien in August of 2010. It is a great resource for local coffees, chocolates and yoga/lifestyle wear, carved bowls, local jewelry and more. Tipping out your housekeeper/staff is suggested.

Reservation/Cancellation/Refund Policy for Events & Workshops (held at studio)
You must pre-pay in full to reserve your spot; reservations will not be taken without payment.
Cancellations will be accepted up to 14 days prior to the workshop for a full refund less 10%. No refunds or credits after that --with the following exception-- the event sells out and we can fill your spot, in which case you will receive the amount you paid less 20%.
Wondering why we don't give full refunds closer to the date?
Simple. If we stop selling spots, in order to hold your place, and then you don't attend, that is lost income because we have turned away another attendee in order to honor our commitment to you. Our presenters have costs and minimums that we must cover in order to host them and those expenses are bullt into the pricing and attendance level of each event.
If you are traveling to be with us, please carefully consider booking refundable flights and hotel rooms, as we do not cover those in the event you cannot come, or the very, very rare event that the presenter cancels an event.
