Yin Yoga – Jayne

Yin
1 hour and 15 minutes

Yin Yoga combines the deep, slow stretch of the connective tissues, with focus on alignment and some light muscle activation. Great for all levels as it helps to refine your postures as well as release any accumulate tension in the body. Stretches are sustained for anywhere from 3-7 minutes, using supports such as bolsters, blankets, straps as needed for each student. These passive holds allow focus on the breath, and the body’s reactions to surrender and release. The postures are done with minimal muscle activation to allow deep access to the connective tissues and joints.

Lobby opens 15 minutes before class so that we have practice and prep time. Please be patient while we get ourselves and our space ready for you.

Late to Class? If you are more than 10 minutes late for class, you will not be admitted into the classroom. This is first, for your own safety, and secondly, in consideration of the other students’ practice; It is distracting to them and to the teacher.
